Belum Rainforest Friend (BFF)
In a triumvirate of commitment,Pulau Banding Foundation stands proudly as one of the key organizations collaborating to ensure the seamless execution of the Belum Forest Friend (BFF) program. This strategic partnership is integral to the program’s success, underscoring the collective dedication to conserving the Belum Temengor Rainforest Complex.
BFF serves as a powerful conduit, aiming to raise awareness among Malaysians about the imperative need to conserve rainforests for the sake of future generations. Beyond mere awareness, BFF transforms into a dynamic Donation Drive, beckoning citizens worldwide to
actively participate in the preservation of the Belum Temengor Rainforest Complex.
Two impactful initiatives define the essence of BFF:
1.Donation of School Uniforms:
In collaboration with Yayasan EMKAY, BFF extends support to orang asli students in Belum-Temengor by donating school children uniforms. This initiative not only addresses educational needs but also fosters a sense of community and shared responsibility.
2.Tree Planting Program:
A joint effort by Belum Rainforest Resort and Pulau Banding Foundation, this initiative channels donations towards tree planting programs. This tangible action directly contributes to the ongoing conservation efforts of the rainforest, ensuring its sustained health and biodiversity.
A notable program within BFF is the Tree Planting Initiative for the Rehabilitation of Karas Tree (Aquilariamalaccensis). Beyond being a symbolic act of rejuvenation, this initiative is
meticulously designed to create awareness across all walks of life about the paramount importance of preserving Mother Nature.
As Pulau Banding Foundation collaborates in steering the BFF program, it stands as a testament to the collective power of organizations coming together for a shared cause. Join us in this journey of conservation, where every effort, every tree planted, and every awareness raised contributes to the lasting legacy of the Belum Temengor Rainforest Complex. Together, let us champion the preservation of our natural heritage for current and future generations.
