From October 4th to 8th, 2023, the Horizon Food and Art Fair provided an ideal platform for the Pulau Banding Foundation(PBF) to share its vital message. This event, a magnet for food lovers and art enthusiasts, allowed us to engage with a diverse audience and raise awareness about the pristine nature of Pulau Banding. We featured exquisite handicrafts made by the Orang Asli community in Pulau Banding, connecting you directly with indigenous artistry.Exotic Animal Teaching Lab, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (EXOTEL-UMK) took you on a journey into the world of rare insect species found in the Belum Temengor Rainforest Complex. Attendees were captivated by the importance of these creatures in maintaining the rainforest’s delicate balance.
The event garnered enthusiastic engagement from the audience. Many expressed a desire to learn more about our mission, participate in volunteer programs, and contribute to our cause. Purchases of merchandise and artwork supported our initiatives and provided direct benefits to the Orang Asli community.
